When do you enter?

New, middle or closing soon comps? I enter new comps but havent won yet. I would like to know if anyone has had more luck entering closing soon comps. I know its pot luck really but I am curious to know if it makes any difference.

I enter them the day before they close. I have always done it that way and i have won comps but nothing in the past 2 months.

welcome. I enter them as they are posted usually but if i have time to spare - i will check by closing date just in case i have missed some but i don't do that very often. As they say you have to be in it to win it. Remember some of the comps on here that you enter when they are first posted can be for months away so still time for a win Good luck.

I enter most as they come on here, my 2 big ones were like that; but i have also won smaller things by entering the day before. I think its just luck of the draw:j

TBH it probably doesn't make any difference because (they should be) picked at random....

I enter the comps closing the day before and also do the new ones when i have time. I have had an excellent start to 2009.

I kind of do a combination of 3 things. I enter some day before, some that are just posted and I also go back to the oldest last post and work my way through.

This way I a) have the hope I might win something soon if its just closing b) know if I dont have as much time to enter comps in the future, I still have some on the go from now which are ending later and c) I wont miss out on something that is 'the first 500 entries' or something by not reading the latest posts.

But I've only just started entering comps this week so who knows if my 'system' is good or not

I've no set system as I just enter as and when I have time to spare, although I do try to check a day or two before the ending dates to make sure I've not missed any that interest me.
