OR interview

Hi again,
I had my phone interview last week, i was slightly confused. Me and oh both BR.
However when it came to inc/exp my salary accounts for 71% and oh is 29% of shared expenses, rent, utilities etc. She then quickly mentioned that after taking this into account and my personal exp' i had a surplus of £181 and would have to pay 50% of this amount. However this did not take into account any of my oh personal exp so this would leave her with approx £200 deficit.
Anyone please help if you can understand my question, thankyou......

It's because they don't do a joint IPA, your income means you get an IPA, but as you say, they don't take your OH into account.
Unfortunately that is the correct way of doing it, there's no such thing as a joint bankruptcy, so in turn there's no such thing as a joint IPA.
However some OR do do it jointly, but it doesn't look like yours does.
If you don't agree with it and think you can re-arrange the figures to reduce your surplus you can tell the OR, it's supposed to be an agreement, after all.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Thanks PP i just could not make sense of it at first, all i will do is have to raise my amount of childcare, which my oh was going to pay, plus a couple of other bits and hey presto little or no surplus.
Also i did not put down om my soa an amount for holidays could i add this is now.0 -
Yes, you can put holidays, some allow it, some don't but it's worth a try.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Why don't you post up the SOA you gave to your OR and we can see where you can make changes.
