I have some artificial silver jewelry - it wasn't expensive but I do like it and want to clean it as it seems to have become tarnished from the air - can anyone help?

Rub it with one of those silver polish cloths. Even though it isn't silver it will come up nice and shiny0

In the 1000 tips to save money & time from this weekends Daily Telegraph it suggests laying a piece of slightly creased bit of tin foil in the bottom of a dish then putting a small amount of soap flakes or wool washing powder in with it. It's something to do with an ion exchange but I'm not very science minded so didn't get it LOL! It's be worth a try though. HTH0

I work with fashion jewellery and have to clean it as it sometimes tarnishes under the store lights. They gave me some silver dip when I started, which is great, but if you leave it too long it strips the silver colour off and unless you can dry it perfectly it then rusts because of the base metal. Now I just buff up with soft cloth with a tiny amount of furniture polish on, it usually does the trick...good luck.0
