ICI Pensions not responding

Bit of a long shot that anyone else has a similar problem but....
We have been trying to trace old pension entitlements for my wife.
1- NHS
2- ICI
Information obtained through the pension tracing site in November 08.
Wrote to both in November and got a reply from NHS in December with good news. Nothing from ICI so wrote again in December but still not heard anything. Any experiences on how long this process can/should take take or other advice to get a reply?

If I was in your shoes, I would have at least expected an acknowledgement by now.
I would try speaking to their helpline ( a quick GOOGLE found the following)...
ICI PENSION FUND HELPLINE:
01707 607500
0900-1700 Monday to Friday
And just to be sure you wrote to the right place (I know it should have been if via Pebsions Tracing Service) here's the address off the ICI website:
ICI Pensions Services
PO Box 545
Redhill
Surrey RH1 1YX
Hope this helps... let us know how you get on.0 -
My other half worked for ICI 26 years ago.
We've never had cause yet to communicate with them (and not claiming the pension yet either), but they send annual updates of expected pension and other "change" information.
Probably the most relevant of which is that it's now known as
AstraZenecca Pension Fund
address as the post above, but on a Macclesfield number(!)
01625 517622
according to the last update.0 -

I first sent a letter to the ICI pension fund at the Surrey address but having got no reply went through Pension Tracing and they came up with an address in London (Manchester Square). As stated no reply from them either. Come to think of it my wife worked at the Jeallots Hill Research Site(early seventies) which I believe did eventually become Astra Zenecca and then Zenecca? It hadn,t occurred to me that the pension fund may have moved ownership. I assumed it was still an ICI fund. Perhaps I'll send another letter

Just to save more effort + time it has occured to me that as my wife left just after her 21st birthday there may be no pension there as someone suggested that inthose days if you worked for ICI you didn't qualify to join the scheme until you were 21. Can anyone confirm (wife was 21 in 1976)Awaiting a new sig0
