Bristol and West - no new customers!

Hi All,
I've just loooked at the Bristol and West website (to find the customer services number) and their front page says they are not currently offering any mortgages to new customers. I'm imagining this is not a good sign for them....or me?
I'm just about to take a 10% paycut at work (joy!), and money will be already be tight. If they do "go under" what will happen to my current mortgage? Could they sell it to someone else and make me pay a higher rate?
I'm on SVR since December but was thinking of fixing for 3 yrs with B&W (not enough equity to go elsewhere (112k mortgage/120k value))
Thanks in advance!

I sort of thought BandW were already owned by someone else (old news) and had that company had recently decided to discontinue the BandW brand name.
I might have dreamt it but I remember being surprised because I always thought of them as a westcountry company and was surprised it hadn't been for sometime.

B&W savers were bought out by Britannia BS.
But Bank of Ireland kept the B&W mortgage side.0
