I am so pleased!! :j
I have been experimenting with making my own healthy snack bars and they have turned out lovely. It's great knowing exactly whats in them.
What I have learned so far:
1. Start with baking tray
2. Fling in some nuts/seed/dried fruit/chopped fruit
3. Add some oats
4. Put the dry mix in a bowl
5. Now you need to make it sticky and wet so add come syrup or honey or treacle and then fruit juice.
6. Put back in backing tray and pack it down with a spoon
7. Pop in oven at about between 160 for 10 mins or so.
8. Cut with a knife and leave to cool.
I have made 2 batches likes this so far.
Batch 1: Sunflower seeds, pine nuts, chopped nuts, sultanas, oats, prune juice, honey
Batch 2: Sunflower seeds, pine nuts, chopped buts, sultanas, oats, pineapple pieces + juice, treacle
Next time I think I might mash up a banana or grate an apple. Perhaps some dried apricots or a teaspoon of jam.
So if you try this let me know how you get on...
Or perhaps you have your own recipes to share...

I do similar but with condensed milk to bind delish!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
