I wanna caricature!

Hi

My OH sis who emigrated to Australia is getting married next mont - and we are tryin to figure out what wedding pressie to send over - something unique and fun.

I had thought of getting wedding caricature done from photos and then post it over - unframed to keep costs down!!

Anyone know where I could get a good on - Thanks

My parents celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last year and my brother and I went halfers on a caracature for them, it is fabulous.

The picture has the two of them and their dog in it and has my dad in his walking gear and my mum sat on a chair doing cross-stitch. There are speech balloon which say things relevant to them, it is a really great piece of work.

Mum and Dad love it, they cried when they opened it, but now they laugh at it all the time. It has pride of place in their lounge, I'm so glad we did it for them.

It wasn't cheap - about £120, but we had it framed.

The guy who did it is actually the uncle of one of my neighbours, but he does work all over the country and has done famous people and football teams (ordinary portraits etc too).

We just sent loads of photos, as many close ups as possible, then I wrote a list of what I wanted, such as mentioning they watch weakest link and have a contest between themselves on who wins, plus dad walks the dog, and mum cross stitches.

For christmas for my mam, i had some caracature/cartoon illustrations done of all the family then put on to a canvas, as an alternative family portrait, there was about 10 of us done.
if you are interesed pm me and i can give you my facebook details, which has some the caracature/illustrations on. and if you are further interested i can pass on the email of the bloke who did them.
All the family loved it. They are colourful fun and so different from anything i have seen. I got each person as a seperate high res file to do as i please with them, plus us all together in one, so i have used the ones of the kids as screensavers etc. and my sister took a copy hers and had then printed seperately afterwards.

Really good price too (£30 per character)
