I was sent the Charm2 code and my email addresses match however I just purchased something for £4.99 and it won't let me use the code. Do you think I have to spend more than £5?
    Any ideas?

Ditto this! Even the 1998 part! And I never even thought to look for codes either.

Looks like it expired on the 12th, which is a bummer. :(

According to http://pages.ebay.co.uk/coupons/Charm2/ no minimum spend and it didn't expire until today. I would contact them if I were you - they may be able to sort something out.
