You can't and after you enter it it will show as a code and then its only after logging into paypal that you see if you can use it.

You find an auction that has paypal immediate payment required eg mostly done on a buy it now auction. with these immediate payment required auctions you cannot buy the item until you have gone through paypal so unlke the typical buy it now auctions which means you have purchased the item you look for the ones that below the buy it now have immediate payment required you click the buy it now button then it will tell you you have not bought the item as this seller requires immeidate payment so it tries to log you into your paypal account you log in and on the purchase page before you would normally purchase an item you type in the discount code in the redeem box at the bottom and click apply if you can use the code and the discount is applied you will see its showing up in green on the purchase ammount bit top right hand side where the price of the item would normally be and the postage ammount If you can't use the code it will show up at the top of the page as sorry this redemption code cannot be used with your paypal account DO NOT CLICK PAY NOW WHATEVER YOU DO... then all you need to do is scroll back down to the botton of the page and click remove this code ( so you can use it again later) then log out without purchasing the item at all.

Obviously if you need to try a min spend code of £50 you need an auction with buy it now and immediate payment for an item over £50 but for the ammount under that the item number shown above should work :0)

Are you then committed to buying the item. Would you get a negative if you did not. Have you tried it out. I daren't log into paypal incase it happens.

update. Just done it with all the codes here and none work for me but thanks for the tip fairywishes

Im getting a bit grumpy because I havent been sent a code. I received a message on my ebay saying they had made me an ebay star and to look out for something coming in the post. Nothing has arrived. I presumed that would be a money off code. Has anyone else had the star message and not got a code?

I received that message when i logged in a week or two ago and have not received anything in the post but i have received the message for £25 off £50 in ebays my messages so maybe something will be there. None of the other codes on here work for me though and never had one before.

hi ya :0) its safe to try the tip re immediate payment required you don;t actually purchase the item until you click the pay button and unlike normal ebay buy it now auctions it clearly states on the immediate payment required auctions that you have not bought the item as immediate payment is required :0) just don't ever click the pay now button on the paypal payment page :0)

I too have not had any discount vouchers for ages and ages this was first in 2 years. A tip go to your ebay personnel settings and prfrences and make sure your options show your happy to recieve offers from paypal and ebay i think there is also a paypal options on their website to enable this.
