hi, just wondering which are the best products to smooth, flatten and prevent drying/breakage on afro hair? opinions please!
Fr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.

I've heard that products containing olive oil and shea butter are supposed to do wonders for the hair. Leaves the hair feeling really nourished after use.
  • Just google and you can find the products and description according to hair type. I also bought some specific hair care books from amazon after checking at the library. The products really do vary so much depending on the hair structure from soft loose european waves to very course , dry tight afro. Best of luck with the searches but trial and error etc is the only way. Just remember that the hair needs to be combed gently from the ends to the roots and plaiting etc causes hair breakage if too tight [as does overuse of straightners]
