Hi - our local Woolworths is being turned into a B+M - i have never been into one of these so was wondering what they are like ?

Will they help in saving money ?

Any good / bad things there ?

Thanks
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

We went to one in Aberdare on Friday and the store was packed.

It's a bit like Wilkinsons but cheaper. Depends on what you are after really.

I use our local one quite a bit. It's similar to Home Bargains if you have one of those near you. Usually the food it stocks and cleaning bits and bobs are cheaper to get there as are most things.

  • Our local B&M is very good for children's character toys such as In the night garden, dora, fifi, ben10 etc, they are much cheaper than argos etc, we have had some real bargains for birthdays and christmas there in the past.
  • Can i just ask does B&M have a web site ? I want to see if we have one local to us ,as i have heard so much about how good it is.

Or does anyone know if theres one in Nottingham ?

    TIA x

Our new B&M is great for cold sandwich meats a lot cheaper than the supermarkets.

#Theres one in Ilkeston (although Ilkeston is classed as Derbyshire I alway see it as Nottm) But the home bargins in Heanor is better (IMO)
  • I love B&M Bargins - it took over the Kwiksave shop in Leeds. Its brill - the stock changes all the time. Ive got too many things to mention - 99p original souprce shower gel, olives, bread mix, mayo, duvet covers .....

This store is brilliant for cheap sauces, biscuits and lots of other foods.

They sell a lot of foodstuffs that is either near it's sell by date or sauces etc with foreign languages with english labels stuck on.

I have just found some recent receipts.

    Sugar (1kg) 69p

    Homepride Chili sauce (250g) 29p

    HP Beans (4x415g) 99p

Homepride white wine sauce (390g) 39p

    Hellmans mayo (200g) 49p

Knorr Stir it Up sauce BBQ 10p (£1.25 in Mr T)

They are like Home Bargains and sometimes once something is sold out they don't get it in again.

But........ they have such a huge turnover of foodstuffs that you can buy enough sauces, mixes etc to last you the full week for about £2 if not a lot less.
