Lentil and turkey meatballs??

Hi
I have some turkey mince which I want to make into meatballs so my LO can eat them too - he struggles with "normal" mince.

Can I add lentils to these to pad them out or will they just fall apart??

You can do, but as you say they might fall apart unless you soak the lentils first. I use bread - you just soak the bread in a little water and add to the turkey with a few herbs or spices and it works a treat ( keep os and use stale bread even better)

Thanks. I went ahead and made them anyway (being impatiant that I am!) Used half lentils and half mince and they worked a treat. Cooked the lentils first though so they were pretty sludgy(?) and just mashed together with an egg, half a slice of HM bread (don't use salt for LO) and some herbs. Tried frying one but it didn't go too well so just chucked them all the in oven for 25 mins and then put them back in the pan with my tomatoes -lovely!
LO just wolfed them done - will see how OH is later...
