Shortcrust Pastry

Options
Need to make some shortcrust pastry but all the recipes I have say to use half butter and half lard, I don't have any lard (and can't be bothered to get my butt to the shop to buy some) can I just use all butter?

  • Yes, no problem. You might find that the pastry is a bit harder to handle (it'll be a bit crumblier to roll) but as long as you're careful, it's fine. It'll have a lovely flavour.
