Picked one up on Sat 31/01 at Bexleyheath (London). They had plenty in stock still at £150.

As reported, box states 120GB, but it's 160GB. Bios version 3301.

It might be worth giving them a call to see if there s any left, but i can t make head nor tail of it. Im not that well up on computers and am also used to windows xp. Do i need a code to install skype ? It appears ive downloaded it but cant find it. Mine is also a 160. Does anyone know when aldi will be selling their netbook with windows xp on it, Thanks.

Suggest you try to find where you saved it by looking in 'files', if you cannot find it then re-download and save to 'downloads'. Once there open up, select the files and extract to downloads, then run (double click) the .sh file. The installer will then open up and install skype. You will then find the icon in your top left window (select the arrow to open window) - and there is skype icon (hopefully).

UPDATE: ...or just follow advice below (thanks to silk), which is easier than my long-winded method!!

It's not just about the money
  • If you d/load stuff from the web using Firefox, goto menu item tools and click downloads - should give you a list of recently downloaded files. If you right-click the item you've d/loaded you can open the container it lives in, move/copy etc.

Tools-->Options-->Main (icon) allows you to set the download directory.
