Viewfinder comp from Observer Escape section.
Originally home to smugglers and brigands, this town and its surroundings now have some of the most expensive house prices in Britain. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote here and it is the last resting place of Mary Shelley. There are some fabulous beaches and an island just offhsore where a colony of red squirrels live. Name the town.
