Anyone won on Quiz Call?

I've called them five times tonight without even getting through to the presenter. Anyone ever won? What's the name of that HOT blond chick presenting tonight? (It's on Channel 5)

Have won twice £150 both times.

Make sure you set yourself a limit though and stick to it xx

I find Quiz Call ... interesting. But only because I'm interested in scams, which I believe QC is.

Note the number of calls in the last minute counter on the screen. It's usually between 200-500. But they only take one call ever few minutes on average. So, your chance of getting through is pretty small. And then unless there's a "guaranteed win", the chance of winning seems small even if you do get through to the studio.

The answers can be ... obscure to say the least. Though, I'm never awake when they are revealed. But look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qki_pJ_c6Gg

I tried with a load of free sims that had credit already on them. Total credit was £80 and i didnt get through once, this was over the course of 1 hour

In this time several people got through twice, thought this maybe as their system recognises the number calling and put them back through. My number changed after every £5 so system wouldnt recognise me as a regular caller

Anyone thinking of callling, i would strongly advise against it
  • Complete scam, just like all the other after hours "quiz" shows. They rely on drunk and gullible people for their incomes.

I've got through a handful of times through the free web entry back when they had their own channel on the freeview rather than taking over five at night.

Never had the right answer when I did get through of course
  • I've never tried, coz I do think it's jus a scam. I remember laughing like mad though when I read about ITV being fined by Ofcom for the obscure answers on Quizmania. The question was to name things you would expect to find in a womans handbag. 2 of the answers were a balaclava and rawl plugs :rotfl:
Fair enough if they'd just asked what could fit in a handbag but would you really expect it?
