Hi, myself & hubby went BR in November due to his illness, this week we have recoived a letter from tax advised that nil tax code applied but employers are still stopping the tax, spoke with OR who said that this correct and Inland revenue will pay OR is this correct

Yes I went bc in nov 07,had a leter from HMRC saying they had written to my employer to apply the NT code in jan 08.By the time i left that job in march the tax code change had still not been applied. So the OR just collected the tax due for 07/08 direct from HMRC in april 08.
