handing in the keys

Hi, maybe someone will know how we stand with this one. We are going to finally go for bankruptcy in the next 10 days and we have already moved out of our house and intend to hand back the keys. Our in laws dont have heating in their home and we have suggested to them that they could have the boiler and radiators from our house as it was a fairly new system. Would this be allowed under the bankruptcy or would it not go down well with the OR if we give away the boiler etc. Does anyone know? any advice gratefully recieved.

Hi Ruby,
At the moment everything in that house is still yours, so you can do as you please with it...... I've heard of people completely stripping their houses of everything before reposession!
When you say you intend to hand back the keys...... have you spoken to your mortgage company? Do they know of your intentions? Only I know, from experience, that voluntary resposession is not as easy as we might think it should be
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

I would recommend using someone who is corgi registered if you are going to take away anything that is gas fuelled.
