I got £4.27's worth of monkfish tail for £1.00 last week on a weekday night at about 8pm. Other than that there was no other whoopsied fresh meat or fish left and it's seemed that way a lot recently It's frozen now, but I have some parma ham, so will wrap the monkfish tail in that and roast next week. Yum!

I bought 2 x 1.2kg gammon joints from Tesco last night. £6 each reduced to £1.50.
I've cut one into 4 (very thick) slices for gammon steaks, there was a bit of offcuts (150g) so I've bagged this to use in lentil & bacon soup.
The other I've left as a joint & may cook in cider or diet coke.

It's all gone into my freezer.

My local ASDA (South Bank, Middlesbrough) has been vastly overstocking on fruit and veg. When I went on Tuesday they had broccoli, baking potatoes, bags of various salads, vine tomatoes and baby sweetcorn/green bean trays reduced to 10p per item.

got a crate of 15 cans of strongbow for £4 so got a couple of crates!!

Lots of salad leaves for 5p a bag,cucumber portions 5p each,bags of apples,oranges and bunches of banana's for 10p.Pizza for 16p each (were 3.99 each)and I managed to find a chinese meal for two for 10p.Lots of bread,rolls and french sticks,bagels all reduced to 10p.

Got 12 yummy (but v naughty) jammy doughnuts, instore type, from Sainsburys the other night - reduced down to 20p for the lot!! And a pack of lean beef mince in Waitrose reduced down to 39p (a little flirt with the reducing lad can work wonders )

my local Asda Thursday night about 18.15, fresh free range pork joint reduced from over £9.00 to £2.20, steak mince down to 50p, chicken fillers for 60p and a meatloafy from £4.00 to £1.00, i'm usually in there the same time each week but never normally find anything like this.

I got 4 pints of organic milk from tesco for 25p, pack of 15 muffins 15p and 2 apple turnovers for 10p in tesco last sunday.
