In Dundee the cinema by the ice rink does cheap Tuesdays, all showings are reduced in price.
If you like cooking, there's some good asian shops up the hilltown, where spices are much cheaper to buy than in the supermarkets. There is also a chinese supermarket on Gellatly street.0 -
So Cineworld does cheap tuesday.
Do you know how much you get off the normal price and what bus do I take from the town? charelston I suppose.
If you live in Dundee and go to Odeon Douglasfield and you are 15-18 you can get in for £3.80 until your 18th bday.Scottish Lad0 -
Cineworld - I couldn't remember the name of it in my original post, tickets on Tuesday are about £3.50/£3.60 which I think is £1.50 off the regular price.
Sorry, I don't know about the bus.0 -

Hiya Spikey,
Have you tried Dovetail enterprises up on Dunsinaine Industrial Estate by the old Levis? They are not necessarily the cheapest in Dundee but if you get them at a time there is a sale on their prices are very good as is the quality.
I had to get a mattress exchanged under the guarantee as there was a problem with it, and not only did they change the matress which was the only thing i had a problem with (stitiching at seam started to come away) they changed the bed as they had had a few reports from others of problems with the frame i had ( i hadnt) as a precaution.
New mattress is perfect, and they picked up old one, delivered a loan one then picked up loan one as they delivered a made to order new one which has been perfect. Service was excellent and this is not the first mattress i have purchased from here but the 5th (have bunk beds) and no problems with the others what so ever.
Prices do vary for what you want and can get and for my single beds i have the contract ones, which are for hotels etc and the double one for my eldest son is a backcare delux i think.
Hope this helps.
PS you promised me :coffee: ages ago lol0 -

There are a few buses that go up to cineworld, any of the circular buses, 9, 10, 11, 12 but they would take the scenic route and take a while so i dont really recommend them unless you have plenty time and dont suffer travel sickness.
Also the St. Mary's buses 1a, 1b, 1c im sure go right into the industrial park where the cinema is as do the circulars above which would be a lot easier than trying to cross the kingsway although it might just be at night time, as that is when i have seen the buses. I have a car so can't comment fully. Will try and find out more details from bus using friends in the area though.
The circular buses will also take you to the Odeon in Douglasfield too - ok not quite right to the door, but within 5mins walking distance as would the 26 but from the city centre (really quiet regular) and for coming home to the centre it would be the 28 / 29 again fairly regular. The 26 to the Odeon doent take the scenic route and will take about 15 - 20mins at night time to get there if that.
This might be of some use for bus timetables though.
