Jar of Promises for My Valentine

I've come up with the idea of making a jar of promises for my boyfriend for Valentines Day. I'm going to decorate a jam jar and take it to the local florists and get them to sell me some of that fancy paper and cellphane they wrap flowers in.

I've just bought some red card that I'll cut into little cards with pinking shears and write a promise on each one in metallic pens. Thing is, I can't think of many promises!! So far, I've got: cook fave meal, massage, foot rub, bedroom stuff :D obviously, but what else??

Does anyone have any good ideas??

    Lovely idea.

Depending on your budget how about a meal at his favourite indian/chinese or pub or possible a weeked away ? Worth checking Travel Lodge for cheap nights.

What a good idea! I've got a nice jar left over from last valentines, I might just "borrow" Your idea.
I know I'll have to put a few passes in there for him to go to the pub for a few hours!

I used Chicken Tonight jars for some Pots of Gold and just stuck a gold ribbon on the top -covered the writing up. You could do that with a red one

Just to say what a fabulous idea & one that I'll have to 'borrow' for my dh! We've been married 21yrs now and with 3 children (2 of them teens) we don't always bother with valentines day. This year we decided to make the effort as it's important to spend some time on 'us' now that the children are getting older & more independent. Mmmmm ........ just got to think of some good, very cheap, ideas now LOL!

That's ok, he'll just think that is one of the promises. You're cooking his fav meal.

  • 52? Do I have to think of that many? Hadn't thought of that. I was thinking more like about 20! Is that being tight then?!
