Hi,
I can get as far as 'any other information' on fill in your return and no further. Anyone else getting problems? I can't get through on their phone line either which leads me to suspect their systems have collapsed again. Nothing about it in the media yet though.

Yes! Complete nightmare
Couldn't even log in! Decided that maybe I had entered a slightly different password so clicked on link 'forgotten password', big mistake!!! It then changes your password, giving you only the 1st half and promising to email the other half...
You guessed it, no email!!! I have steam coming out of my ears.
I rang them, got a robot voice woman telling me that today is the last day and I will get a penalty etc etc. No, really? I didn't realise I had left it to the last minute as usual along with thousands of others...
I just would like to know if there was any chance of getting a password so that I could at least log in and have the fun of inputting the figures i have sweated blood over the last 2 weeks.
She gave me a number for the technical team but, no surprise , they are experiencing high call volumes... ha bloody ha!
To those of you having problems, I feel your pain!!0 -

Yep, they have problems:https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/busy?rateI got all the way to re-authenticate, then it started telling me I had my password / ID wrong. What a joke. You'd think they'd have seen this coming, given last year's fiasco. Then again, perhaps Gordon Brown, did see it coming, like he (allegedly) foresaw the financial crash ... and did absolutely nothing to avert it! ROFL!0 -
why leave it till the last minute thought?

the cut off is midnight so HMRC should be able to provide a service for people to do that....The adverts say to get your return in by 31 January not the cut off date is 31 January but do it well beforehand otherwise whats the point of setting the date.
They know people will leave it to the last minute(guilty myself) I say every year im not going to leave it but I always do..
Fair enough if people didnt give themselves time to get a pin but the majority will have everything they need and just need to input the details and its up to them when they do it..:D The service should be available... Am thinking of a new one:beer:0 -
Yes, I have left it to the last minute, but I have also spent/wasted 3 hours today just trying to log in!
I am a single mum of 4 children 3-14, including 2 with special needs and 3 yr old twins who only started nursery this week. I manage to run a business from home, look after the kids and house as best I can, so there are always higher priorities until the pressure is really on. Number crunching is not a hobby I enjoy even if I had time for hobbies.
I also promise myself to do it earlier each year and I did do all the figures but haven't had time to fiddle with the online stuff. Had planned to do it on paper in Oct but my marriage broke down in early Oct and a tax return was not something at the top of my agenda.
So... to those who judge, yes ideally do it well before the deadline but life has a habit of not always being ideal and maybe you have yet to realise that...0 -
Hope you get sorted....... The one i had to do wasnt even mine!!!!! it is OHs....He does the work i do this stuff....have been up till 4 am some days sorting it all out...Have to wait til my kids asleep before i start:rolleyes:
well no doubt will be on again this time next year:D:beer: Am thinking of a new one:beer:0
