Will OR inform council of bankruptcy?

If you're a council tenant will the OR inform the council that you have gone bankrupt and if so does anyone have any experience of what the council's reaction might be?

Not sure if it makes a difference but I've never had any rent arrears and my c.tax is up to date however I don't yet have a secure tenancy as I have been here less than a year.

Thanks Everyone RRD :)

A similar question was asked the other day. The council or H/A can not evict you because of bc,it is against the law. I am ex council, now H/A and am not sure if the OR contacted them or not. You can ask the OR not to conatct them but it is up to the indivdual OR as to whether they do or not. They do(i believe)like to contact your LL in case there are any arrears that need to be included in your bc.DX

Why would local authority evict you if you are paying the rent and Ctax. Thats all they are concerned with.

It concerns me because although I pay the rent I live in an area where housing is scarce. I have a one bedroom flat but on the paperwork I signed it says the property can house up to three people. As I'm not a secure tenant yet it would be very easy for the council to move me perhaps in favour of housing three people instead of one.

Perhaps unlikely but I've heard of councils doing worse. I wouldn't want to give them any excuse to re-home me (makes me sound like I live at the Blue Cross :) ) or evict me.
