Special Offers and BOGOFs in shops

Hi everyone! Not sure if there is a thread that already does this. I've had a look but can't find one. I thought it would be good if we had a thread where we can share info on special offers and BOGOFs (Buy One Get One Free). This is not meant to be hard work, don't write down every offer you see when you go shopping, but if you happen to buy something on offer why not let us all know. Let's see if we can save some money by using our collective knowledge.

For example, I need loo rolls, milk and bread. I have the option of going shopping in shop A, B, and C. Someone posts on here and tells me shop B has loo rolls on offer - my mind is made up!

It would be helpful to know the following information: which shop it is, what the item is, item size (450g or 9 loo rolls for example) as things come in different sizes, what the offer is (half price, BOGOF, 25 percent off), and if possible how much it was/is now, and when the offer ends, although if you are like me you won't be able to remember all these details when you get home! Try to put down as much as you can though.
Please note that not every offer in every shop may be nationwide, so don't completely rely on this thread, but it can be a guide to where offers may be found.
I'll start off with what I found when I was shopping today in the next post.
Let's have fun and try to save some money - I'm going to keep a tally of what I save with your help!

    Today I found:

Coop - Cadbury's Milk Tray half price now £2.93
Charmin Toilet Tissue (I think it was 9 rolls) a third off now £2.94

Both offers end 15 Feb 09

As I said above I'm not sure if all offers are nationwide, but let's see what we can find. :j

I don't really see the point in this thread as the whole point of this particular forum is to post such offers, and by listing the offers in their own thread, they are easier to find.

  • Now, loo roll is a particular favourite of mine, am always getting the phone out to calculate per roll. I've been aware of the Charmin at Lidl starting on Monday at 27.4p per roll BUT I found 12 white Triple Velvet at Asda last night for £2.98. That's the equivalent of 24.8 pence. The best price I've EVER found for decent loo roll

Thank you for letting me share. Happy hunting everyone
