ive been reading lots of threads about when u spk too the or after going to ocurt
what exactly do they want to know? what paperwork do they need to see, if any?
do they want to know how your debt has been made up? so will they give me a grilling about what ive spent per month and where ive spent it?
i only have my house which is in neg equity which i suppose i will lose one way or another but dont really have anything to sell, no car or expensive jewels (i wish)
i just dont understand what they will need to know.
any advice much appreciated.

They ususally go through your SOA that you took to court with you, then go into more detail about when you took out each cc,loan ect . What it as used for....how much you were earning at the time. When you became insolvent, when and who you took advice from. They then ask you to say in our own words what you feel led to your inolvency.
Hope that puts things into a clearer picture for you.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

yeah thats great thanks.
only have bank stats though as i shred everything else so what do i need to do about c/card stats? dont really want to ring them as theu will prob attack me for not paying them of late.
just dont want to sit there and explain why i went to next and spent money on clothes in a particular month, i cant remember what ive spent the money on apart from trying to exist! surely they cant have a go at me for food and clothes shopping?0 -
If you dont have certain statements and the OR wants them he/she can get them themselves.
They do not attack you as such, but they can make you feel pretty uncomfortable if, say you went to next and spent £300 on clothes in one month:eek: . If you can not remember then say so.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

my debts have bulit up over many years so the balances on there would be pretty old.
guess im just worried that what seemed neceassry to me at the time might seem the opposite to them. theres lots of circunstances to my story but i dont want to have to sit there and tell them all thats gone on due to the fact that some of it is very personal.
they cant decide to stop the bankruptcy can they? i dont consider my spending to be reckless but ive herad that some people have been told that the OR thinks it has been
just panicking i guess, just want to b prepared.0 -
Hey you are only human;) . Mine went back 18 years:eek: and i too had some personal things which attributed to my bc. I wrote a two page letter with it all on and sent it to the OR with all the other requested paperwork.
It is hard, and it is no good me saying otherwise, telling a total stranger over the phone who/what/ect led to my bc but it had to be done. You have to have closure in order to move on and i saw closure,or pretty close,as the interview.
No they can not stop a bc. As at the time the judge stamps your petition you are bc.
Hey we all panicked, but we lived to tell the tale:DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
