Hi everyone :hello:

We are getting married next year and we are having to cut back in some areas in order to pay for things that we really want (the band and reception venue). Can anyone recommend a cheap Kilt hire company? OH usually just goes to one in Kirkcaldy if he ever needs to hire a kilt but it's sopmething that we've never really 'shopped around' for.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

xx

Not Fife, but I pass this shop regularly checking Yell.com it's actually called
    A1 KILT HIRE £29

I dont know anyone that's used them so I couldn't say how good they were .Perhaps someone else could advise .
    Booo!!!
  • My husband has his own but we occasionally hire for our son, been a while though, have you tried Gilt Edged Highlandwear they're in Saltmarket in Glasgow. I've no idea how much you usually pay but we've always found them to be reasonable. Check Yell out and start with the companies who have websites. Keoch & Savage are good too. Happy hunting

    Hi,
Have you thought of using the following ?

    Badgers Highland Hire
53, Bighty Avenue, Woodside, Glenrothes, Fife KY7 5AD
    Tel: 01592 751133

They used to have a shop in Leslie & we have hired from there before without any problems.

    Cheers
  • Was also going to recommend A1 kilt hire, tho its in Dundee so might be too far to travel?
They start at £29 and I know a couple of guests at my wedding used them. Bear in mind though the £29 isnt for every range so if you have a specific tartan in mind it may cost more. It also doesnt include shirt hire!

Even with the more expensive range its still cheaper than some other kilt hire companies. My husband was going to use it for his freinds wedding but as we didnt give them enough notice they didnt have his size.

    \very freindly helpful staff tho.

Is it just your H2B that needs kilt? You get discounts from some places if youre hiring a few...we ended up at Slaters for the tartan we wanted and the price; we got 1 free :D

    happy planning :D
