Most people appear not to need the life cover and can anyway get replacement cover much more cheaply these days. It does come up occasionally in some cases where the endowment has CI cover which could be expensives to replace and in others where people's health has deteriorated a lot.
But in most cases it's not an issue.Trying to keep it simple...

Anyone cashing in an endowment who needs to replace the life cover should do so before they surrender.Trying to keep it simple...
