Does it matter who makes you Bankrupt?

I've been toying with the idea of making mayself bankrupt for about 8 weeks now- i even ended up at Slough court with all the papers, SOA, Fees etc etc about 6 weeks ago, before being told that they couldn't deal with it as it wasn't their jurisdiction.

Anyway, its getting to the stage that HMRC are threatening me with Bankruptcy pretty seriously. I phoned them and told them to hurry up!!!

So, does it matter if i make myself bankrupt or if someone else does it?

No. It would save you the fees.

You would tend to get a face to face interview rather than a telephone one if a creditor does it for you, but if you did it yourself you still might depending on your case.

The question is, how long before HMRC make good on the threat and how long can you hang on?

If may be worth you stumping up the fees yourself to get it all done and dusted.
