when should my refund arrive?

OK so this was my mistake, although I'm still concerned!

I accidentally paid a £23 tip to Pizza Express, as I didn't read the screen properly. Therefore, they gave me a refund of £19 (as I wanted to leave £2.30, but said for their honesty I would give £4 (it was a £17.70 meal, so I gave nearly 25% tip).

however, as the manager was refunding, the machine ran out batteries- anyone know when I should get my refund, or if I'm likely to get it?

The manager said I could go back and get my refund if it hadn't gone through, however, I'd rather not have to- it was an awful meal (3 hours for 2 courses which were cold when they arrived).

Any help would be brilliant!

If it was via maestro or similar it should have gone through pretty much straightaway - if you haven't got it now I'm afraid you'll have to contact them

I have had Electron refunds back within 4 - 7 days. Ask your card issuer for guidelines

I rang RBS and they said it should show if I will get it. I will ring them tomorrow and go collect it, I'm annoyed I made such a stupid mistake! It was on maestro, so i'm surprised it didn't

If they processed it in front of you - it should show on your account within 48 - 72 hrs.

Leaving a tip at Pizza Express - you're a glutton for punishment! They should tip you for eating there.

I know- it was shocking.

I do not recommend pizza express - it was so slow and cold and all I got was this misery.

they processed it infront of me, though the battery died, so I have no idea whether it went through.

why were you tipping if the meal was awful??? Pizza Express- yuk! Every time I've been there I've had the same experience!

because I felt I should, because the waiter was lovely and helpful and it wasn't his fault- it was the fault of the manager for over filling the restaurant and the chefs for not being alble to cook.

plus we had a 2 for 1 voucher, so i felt cheeky paying so little for 2 courses and drinks- nuts I know.

I rang them- they said I could go in and get a refund as cash- which is ok, although I need to go in when their manager is there to check the money really didn't appear on their days TDQ (?)
