The £190 only applies if your baby is due after 6th April

If you do want to change your midwife contact the Head of Midwifery at the nearest hospital and they should be able to arrange it (this may mean either you going somewhere else for maternity care, either another GP - doesn't have to be the one you are registered with - or the hospital or possibly home visits)

    Hi!

It does not sound like your midwife is very helpful!! I know that they are all overworked and underpaid etc but you are entitled to ask her for information surely.

When we had dd 14 years ago our community midwife was just the best! Although I only had one scan at 16/17 weeks and at that scan got told to go home and come back when you are in labour!!!! I always knew that the community midwivies (Plymouth) were around and at the end of the phone should I need anything. Like I say they were great. Just wish I had had her at home and not in hospital...not a great time had there!!

I also got the bounty pack .... had lots of info in there about everything!!! Surely you were intitled to get this and she should of got you one.

Anyway very best of luck with the birth and everything that goes with it!
    ;)Water!
