Symantec antivirus products exclusively use the virus name Bloodhound.Packed when a potentially unknown virus is found using Symantec Bloodhound technology. Bloodhound technology consists of heuristic algorithms used to detect unknown viruses. The actual file detected under Bloodhound.Packed is likely to be infected with a new, packed, 32-bit Windows virus.

Bloodhound.Packed is detected only in Portable Executable (PE) files. Bloodhound.Packed can detect any threat within a packed file.

Just found something useful for Firefox browsers... an extension called "noscript".

Basically it means that scripts such as Java, shockwave etc have to be authorised for every site - by you......

Nice OH showed me it, after I had stopped running around shouting about how the hackers were going to STEAL EVERYTHING!

You can access it through the extensions bit under tools in firefox.

    Joneslarry2 virus

if you clicked on the joneslarry2 link and you aren't patched with windowsupdate, and anti-virus, anti-spyware. Then you could try this to check over your PC. It's a Microsoft site, and is safe.

If nothing else, it might make the "unpatched" on this board, head over to the techie forum, and get advice on how to fully patch windows, and protect themselves against spyware and viruses. So jl2 may have done us all a favour..
