Please Help Advice Needed

Please help with any advice possible.
Going back to my thread on £40,000 to pay for my expartners bankcruptcy 6 years ago. I am so mad he has put me in this situation due to his addictive gambling behavour which i put up with for 22 years. after explaining in previous thread his creditors have won and request me to pay the money. How on earth can i pay this, my current husband and i still live in the property which i purchased from my ex and his creditors said it was sold at undervalue. I am at my wits end and dont know whether me and my husband will loose our home of which we have put so much into it. As i said in previous thread if the creditors dont accept my offer of £10 a month can they make me bankcrupt, just wondering if i go bankcrupt myself how much does it cost, and is the debt wiped off after a year. I know i wont be able to get credit for 6 years after bankcruptcy but quite frankley i dont need any further credit, and if we do my husband will be able to get it as they wouldn't make him bankcrupt or would they.
thanks for any advice given.
Really need to start sleeping at night.

As i said in previous thread if the creditors dont accept my offer of £10 a month can they make me bankcrupt They could but it costs them considerably more money than if you did it yourself so they'll try every trick in the book meanwhile to get the cash owed, just wondering if i go bankcrupt myself how much does it cost It costs £495 although if your on certain benefits or low income etc you can get £150 court fee back.., and is the debt wiped off after a year the debts are wipes as soon as the BR order is signed (usually the day you attend court) . I know i wont be able to get credit for 6 years after bankcruptcy but quite frankley i dont need any further credit, and if we do my husband will be able to get it as they wouldn't make him bankcrupt or would they. depends on the state of your husbands credit files...you need to get some professional advice NOW give any of the helplines in my sig below this a call...they are pretty busy so whatever you doo KEEP TRYING
