Rob stop blowing smoke up your own @ss (when you are turning over £3M then we will talk)
I deal with couriers every day. Every industry is cut throat and someone is always willing to undercut you.
You obviously have never run a company that is why you do not know that competition is very high in all low margin industrys (that is why the margin is low)
The problem for that company would have been bio fuels being vastly expensive compared to fosil fuels in the last 9 months or so making them even less of an atractive proposition to companies)
All companies need to tick the grean boxes it is not such an issue when business is good.
But when trade goes down ticking the boxes are the last things you do.

That is actually hilarious and that comment alone has rendered any respect I had for your opinions straight to the nearest bin.
Good day.

For the level of investment , they would have had to provide a hell of a service lol.
If they had used this companys services , ie haulage they would have had to pay for it !! they were only investors not directors , so no company cross trading0 -
They weren't the only haulage type company that Dragons have invested in though - I hope these guys are doing better

What drives down margin without competition? (do you think people make low margins because they want to? It's because the more competition their is the more people have to lower prices.
Have you never heared the phrase Dutch auction? (It's hard to have one with only one company going for business)
You really know F'all about business and runing one don't you. Your statement proves it. (I would delete if i would you as I am
for you.) 0 -

As a director of a company invested in by a business dragon. I would never decline business offered to me , obviously at commercial rates.
The individual dragons will all have a backroom team that will look to exploit any business opportunity within the portfolio of companies that they own/invest in.0 -

The comment about margin and competition wasn't what I was laughing about, but you've got your head stuck that far up your @rse preaching to me from your soap box about how your courier business makes £3m per year :rotfl: that you never even noticed. Anyway I'll leave you to it, and thank you for your words of "advice" which I'm sure will come in handy should I decide to set up another business.

I don't run a courier company, again where did you get that from?
It's you who wanted to start a willy waiving competition, just that you made your self look a bit foolish in the end.0 -
Listen dear, you believe what you want okay? If you think that buying and selling a few PCs is as "complicated" (for the want of a better word) as running a haulage company profitably then you clearly don't have a clue what you're talking about. Try running a haulage company profitably and then come back to me with the same "they are no different" reply as you did above. Until then, please don't reply.
Rob
Sorry I have to correct you there.
Selling PCs is not IT, it is retail (or wholesale).
Selling information related services is IT.0
