We had a massive garden growing up and we grew everything and I loved being out there helping my dad. I know I won't ever have a garden that size so an allotment is next best thing I guess.
Might have a look at that book bun, thanks

Hello. Bean still not showing any sign of coming out and I'm feeling a bit bleugh today - just tired and lacking oomph in general...
Got optician at 5 this afternoon (getting new glasses as can't exactly pop contacts in every time I get up to feed bubs and I'm so blind without I might try to feed the cat insted!:o :rotfl: ) then Tescos for food shopping for the next week or so. How exciting ... not:cool:
Also need to work out where to stash extra redundancy cash (thinking probably a mini cash ISA but open to any other ideas...). Going to use the statutory redundancy to clear Egg card and last of OD which should leave me with just the AL loan and 0% card to pay each month:j
Sally - fab news on allotment. I've ben on a waiting list for 3 years now so forgive me a tinge of jealousy;)
Maz - well done on the weight loss. Added to the skinny jeans experience it shows you're doing really well:T
Bookie - hugs hun, you really seem to be feeling an uphill struggle at the moment. Let us know if there's anything we can do...
Hugs all round to everyone else

Also meant to say sorry for the abrupt departure yesterday, especially as you were all being so helpful! For some reason connection to net went and couldn't get it back up. All fine today though
Caught up on what I missed - Sally that's great news re HSBC. Your Mum is a real gem!!!
Beanie - which bit of the shoes hurts? Can you stuff them with paper to stretch a little? Can't think of many more miserable making experiences than having to spend a day in shoes that hurt!:eek:26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Afternoon folks...finally I get to come on here. I have finished all my self assessments and colleague has gone out for a run and I am all on my own with three phones to answer! Hope they don't all go off at once.
Sallyx - my friend waited 10 years for her allotment but she loves it. She has a shed on it and everything....and well done on the HSBC bit...
I start part time next week - just working three days, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursdays...sods law just as OH has no contract to go to.
Oh well, he has been self employed for over a year now and its been good so far. He has been promised work in a couple of weeks so we will see how it goes. I may have another go at house training him. He is going off on his biannual golf trip next week so he won't be under my feet for too long.Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford
