Halifax 1 I Didn't Know!

Got my Halifax 1 card today, 12 month ends 23 Jan 2007, a week short of 12 months from when I got card. Also, 2% or £50 max applies to EACH BT. I wanted to BT £6k to M&S and £1.5k to Abbey, they told me it would cost £50 PLUS 2% of £1,500 ie £30. I told them to BT whole £7,500 to M&S to avoid extra costs. Problem is I only owe M&S £6k. Do you think M&S will send me excess £1,500? Please advise.

just balance transfer your plus balance to abbey i do not think they will charge a fee for transfering your own money i did this in early january with m+s and they did not charge me but i only had £300 + balance

they should send it to your own bank account just say you made an over payment although they are unlikely to ask or care. Or if you have an egg card send it all to that and then to each card.

Yes no problem doing this, I did it once to avoid 2 BT charges. Additional money was then credited back to my own bank account.

Slightly off topic did Halifax give you a reasonable credit limit? I do not want to apply if they tend to give only low credit limits.
