Ive only bought it to keep as a spare so it and the cartridges should last for ages, hopefully. Ive never used dell, due to dire warnings from various people but a friend sent me the printer news yesterday and I thought well, for a tenner its worth it as a spare, and put it in here right away without checking if it had already been posted. sorry

If the cartridges are modified, Ive got a re fill kit and im sure someone here will be able to tell me how to use it

    ;D ;D

Just been discussing this with my brother, he's ordered one after being told of it on a NG.

I noticed it says only Win 2000 and XP compatable, I haven't rung and asked if it'll work with W98 too - worth checking out before you buy, not a bargain if you can't use it!

Oh no - he's in for a big let down!

The cartridges they come with are just starter ones (they only have a little ink in them and soon run out)

I dont know if I'd dare try to use a refill kit. Im so clumsy and I have visions of me standing in the kitchen with my pinny on and getting ink everywhere except into the cartridge!!! :-[
  • :) ;)Come on Cathy you CAN do it! Just follow the instructions in the refill kit and you really can't go wrong. Remember too little ink is better than too much, co if in doubt put in less than the recomended amount, you can always fill it again in a few weeks.

Anyway I just got my 2 printers this morning - and I think they are a great deal. Thanks for the tip everybody. :);):D ;D :);):D ;D
