Black Horse loan - provisionally accepted?
Hi,
My mum just applied for a loan with Black Horse online - at the end it said provisionally accepted.
Has anybody had any experience as to whether she should assume it's all ok, or if they might turn around and say no?
Also anybody know what sort of APR she might expect?
Her credit history is fine, but she's recently retired and this seems to put off a lot of loan companies.
Cheers

Hi , my past experience with these would be ..
high APR , will tell you what you want to here to get you to the office , change offer of loan after accepting provisional loan details.
Avoid if you can !!!!!!!!!0 -
Thanks for the reply. Regarding the APR this definitely seems to vary a lot looking on Google - anything from low teens to 29.9%.
I take it you had a poor experience? What was the change to the loan offer you found?0 -
i applied and they called me saying they can 'do what i asked' and asked me to come in to confirm the forms. i had booked it for 2 weeks later. it so happens that on said say they phone saying the appoinement is cancelled due to score not being high enough... they finally found that out 2 weeks down the line?! not when i applied?!
it was a 1k loan over 12 months.
glad they declined me now... they dont sound profesh at all!0 -
I would ask your mum to take the details of the loan if accepted to her local bank who in my opinion would beat the rate hands down.
Retired does not affect your suitability for a loan - as long as she can prove that she can afford the repayments she should be ok.0
