Maybe not*best* quality nadnad but still value for money in my book.
You can see their range online. I was lookinga t leather sofas there recently(in store) and they seemed fine, pretty solid to me.

yeah went to dfs, reids and harveys - i saw a nice one in reids but it was too big - we want a corner sofa and a 3 seater and the corner one in reids was 9ft in both directions - which seemed rather large.

i looked online but nothing i want. and tbh i dont think their sofas would stand the test of time. i'm not one of these people who change their furniture every 5 years the way everyone seems to do now! i'd rather pay for something that'll last.

    Avoid DFS.

Can you stretch to Ekornes stressless. http://www.ekornes.co.uk/ We have it gorgeous.

I would recommend secondhand ekornes over dfs definitely. If interested look at ebay.

thats bizarre! i was just looking at that on the cookstown furniture centre website! was in there today but didnt see anything like that - mind you i had the nipper with me and was stressed so may have missed it!

also may have found something on dekko website - http://www.shopdekko.com/range/luciano-grade-10-corner-group/98185/44/7937/?offers=False, - didn't think of going in there. so shall take a mosey down there this weekend.

  • This sounds weird but Argos actually do really good sofas and I remember seeing their modern ones recommended in a furnishing magazine. I think one has sleigh legs (chrome square things) and comes in leather - bit like a Barcelona chair.....hth!!
  • I do like dekko but I have a sneaky feeling it's ikea stuff but pricier. My most comfy and reasonably priced (also durable) sofa was bought there...

If you're in belfast at the weekend there are 2 independent shops you could try but both are pricey. There's one down opposite the thanksgiving sculpture (just past waterfront hall on the op side of the road) and there's one called Space on Brunswick street in town. Beware though we bought our very expensive sofas there, they are dead modern looking but really uncomfortable. And one broke a couple of years after we got it (and we're a kid free household so it wasn't roughly treated). Genuine made in italy etc though...
  • Fultons on the Boucher Road used to have some lovely furniture, the italian made furniture tends to be modern and stylish. Google italian sofas and you will get http://www.italiansofas.co.uk and http://www.denelli.co.uk/modern-leather-sofas-c-65_66_71.html
Only note of caution, whoever you deal with pay by a credit card that goes you a refund if the company goes bust.....
