Last time I used my Dyson (I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE it.. but I LOVE Henry) I vacuumed DS1's room (16) .. while slurping up sweet wrappers from behind the monitor this 'thing' slurps its way up... It was a condom used while 'burping his worm' so he didn't make his sheets sticky... I had to empty and wash said Dyson bucket (did I mention I hate that machine) because I could see it going round.. and round.. and round.. and round.. in the cyclone!!!
really made me laugh....

This has made me laugh for the first time in ages - thankyou. My DS is only 3 so I have along way to go until that stage !!0 -
I am not very good at OS, but I am aspirational.
I can knit, I've sewn most of the curtains in this house (by hand, watching tv) and I can theoretically cook. I am a really bad housewife, but I hope to get better after coming on here.

I detest gardening, I hate housework and do as little as possible. I damp dust and hoover but that's about it. Well i wash and dry clothes of course, but i do as little cleaning as possible.
I like baking and cooking and crafting. I'm not GREAT at it all but i enjoy it and my loved ones appreciate what i do for them.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

I'm carp at anything related to thread or string or fibres in general. I can hem but only cos I have short legs and, erm, generous hips so I've had lots of practise at shortening trousers. I can barely put my hair into a pony tail.
I'm trying out the 'little and often' approach to housework this year which seems to be working better than the 'wait until clouds of lint appear in the corners of your wooden-floored rooms' approach of last year.0 -
I think we're all on a journey. Some people are way up there and the rest of us are following hopefully0

I tolerate housework, have given up sewing and knitting and love gardening. I have a tidy house (don't look in the drawers!) except when my grandchildren are visiting.

I can't sew or knit. My mum never did any of that stuff..

My mum never did any sewing or knitting either. Or crafting. I think that's what's made me love crafts so much, but still useless at them...
Anyway following the thread... I HATE housework. I guess I was a lazy kid and moved here when still a teen just out of high school. So went from being a schoolgirl straight to being a wife. I think it's psychological, I just refuse to grow up
Wait, I don't know why I'm smiling. It's really bad...........

I can repair clothes by hand but can't use a machine. I can knit scarves but can't follow a pattern. People with creative skills leave me in awe!
I can cook but don't ask me to make a cake as it will always be lopsided, I loathe ironing and only ever iron school uniforms (I have even been known just to fold school sweatshirts and put them under something heavy so I don't have to iron them).
Any houseplant given to me is doomed to die within two weeks
I got thrown out of needlework and cookery at school and got told to do metalwork and woodwork instead.
I can however make garden fences and gates, lay carpets, plaster walls and service my own car.0 -
whooooo hoooooo people like me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I thought i was the only one.:j :j :j :j
I detest housework and try and avoid it at all costs, ironing gets done when no-one has clothes, and even then i just do what is needed at the time.:D
Baking... once in a blue moon:cool:
Cooking.... most things are from scratch, but it tends to be the same things all the time, even though I have loads of recipe books:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0
