Flying Heart Lantern for Valentines

Spotted this on IWOOT - it would a lovely gesture for the one you love on Valentines night - just as long as it is not blowing a gale! This is a pack of 2 lanterns - postage is £4.95 though.

Thanks orange mollie - we saw some of these from a distance on new year's eve and they were truly magical. There were 6 of us in the road who'd never seen them before, all gazing into the sky spellbound! Didn't know what they were called or where to buy, but I do now!

  • No probs! Yea, I know what you mean! I was convinced I had seen a UFO first time I saw them… Nothing would convince me otherwise. I then found the site whilst on facebook and got some.. I now realize that what I saw all that time ago was a lantern! They are just sooo good! :) !!
  • Hmm, they came up to £9.74 even with the code from your flying lanterns place. Still a lovely item, especially as Valentines Day is a Saturday, so there's time to go out and enjoy it at dusk!

Shame, just taken a closer look and I live too near to the airport - you have to be at least 5 miles away, I am really disappointed!!

Not the heart-shaped ones, but they're £3.99 for 3 at play.com, with free delivery:

  • just don't do what our neighbour did and release it from your balcony - it got stuck on the upstairs balcony next to hung out washing. you should have seen the panic on his face!

Oops - my mistake, I had been looking at the packs of 3 earlier, but this is just for one lantern. They were £2.99 before Christmas. Think you can get them cheaper from ebay:
