surethingloans.co.uk
Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help me
im jsut after a bit of info on the following website
https://www.surethingloans.co.uk
i have received an offer from them and saying ive been accepted but i have to pay a £49.99 arrangement fee. Im just a bit unsure, i know companies like Yes loans and other brookers charge a brookers fee, and Zopa charge a £100 admin fee
Its just it seems all a bit to easy with this company. It says there a trading name of F&C Investments, Main Street, Gibraltar
its just i cant find anything on googling them not even the website, i did see someone by the name of Paul on here had used them and everything went ok but can i trust his word?
Any Advice much appreciated
Thanks

Sadly there are many threads on here regarding such companies. The chances are that you will pay your £49.99 but never see a loan.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -

thats what im thinking as i keep emailing them to try to get some info from them
like there registered details so i can check them in someway
and they keep replying im just still waiting for the details
so im thinking i may keep my £49.990 -
Good decision. You would be £49.99 out of pocket and still no loan.
To make it worse you would be plagued with hassle from exorbitant lenders.
Just the name in itself is enough to shout SCAM.0 -
yeah i think i definately dodged a bullet with that one
i kept asking them for there registered details and they said they were a company registered offshore, so i asked them for there offshore details and after replying to all my emails within minutes they have yet to reply to that one over an hour ago.0 -

Pleas do not drag Zopa in to the "Yes Loans" category, Zopa are a reputable business who charge interest rates that banks will struggle to compete with; £100 admin fee is absorbed in to the total repayable loan amount and to be quite honest it is insignificant as the total cost of the loan is small anyway.
I borrowed £1000 @ 17.5% APR, that is the lowest ever interest rate anybody has gave me.
Thanks Zopa.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Zopa don't set interest rates as they don't lend any money. That's down to their individual lenders, such as mePleas do not drag Zopa in to the "Yes Loans" category, Zopa are a reputable business who charge interest rates that banks will struggle to compete with; £100 admin fee is absorbed in to the total repayable loan amount and to be quite honest it is insignificant as the total cost of the loan is small anyway.

Personally, I feel £100 is a very significant sum on a £1k loan and 17.5% APR is more akin to a credit card than a personal loan rate!
Well done for getting the Zopa loan anyway but presumably to accept such a high rate you must have suffered from debt problems in the past?0
