As the title says ive had a gap of 6 months in my work history and i was wondering if i should mention it on my cv, the gap was purely down to me leaving 1 job as the hours clashed with me going back to college and 6 months later i was running low on money so needed part time work

I've employed people before and a gap has never bothered me - I've nothing to gain exploring gaps. If asked, the explanation you've said above seems fine.0
