How to you BBQ fish?
Is there a way to BBQ it without it falling down the grate?

My mum cooks fish all the time on the bbq, both whole fish and in fillets. For a fillet, she wraps it in a piece of tinfoil , usually with some herbs or tomatoes or white wine, anything else you want to throw in there to give it some flavour. It will still taste different from oven-baking and has that bbq flavour! And for a whole fish, she has a special fish rack especially for bbqs! They're not that expensive from memory.0

I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

You can also wrap a whole fish plus herbs in a damp newspaper, a la Jamie O, and stick it on the barbie

I second this; we've done it on many occasions & it's great.0 -
Make sure the fish is well wrapped and the newspaper is well soaked. You'll have a roaring fire otherwise

tin foil is best and make some lemon butter or garlic butter and herbs its great, 10 mins a side if the coals are red,
You know its done properly if the eyes are popped and the skin falls off the meat :-) mmmm lovely (trout are good for this)If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
