I'm pretty sure Mawhinney's butchers on the Cregagh Rd (in the row of shops on the edge of the Cregaggh estate) does a family pack as well. Can't remember the details of it but remember seeing a sign outside the last time I popped in for some steaks (their sirloins are very good!)0

This a great thread, thanks OP.
Does anyone know a butcher who does a meat pack that doesn't include sausages? I don't eat them and wouldn't be keen on paying for something which I don't use! :money:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Tara, try asking if they can change sausages for something else. Ifyou don't ask you don't get!
McMahons is fab - I always order my turkey from there.
I get all my fruit and veg on Saturday in St Georges, think they're called the Cabbage Leaf (the stall is beside the door onto the Albertbridge Road) they always have offers on like 7 oranges for £1 and 7 apples for £1.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0 -
I think fruit and veg is expensive on Saturday at St Georges (or was when I last went since it was pretty much farm shop and organic). If you can manage it, Friday morning is the time to go, good fresh fruit and veg at good prices. Also good fish. And I suspect good meat but again veggie myself so wouldn't be able to say for sure...
Personally I quite like the fruit and veg shop beside the olive tree on the Ormeau Road as well..reasonably priced and good fresh food.0 -

On a Saturday the Cabbage Leaf is the only fruit and veg stall that isn't organic and very expensive (yes, the rest of them definately are!) I'm usually in work on Friday so don't go.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0
