I took a pair of shoes back to a Boundary Mill shop after 6 months because the elastic inside had become detached (slip on shoes) and they replaced them without any problems.0

I bought a Jacket from next a long time ago, ended up not wearing it much as it was too big - and when i did wear it, noticed the pocket was falling apart immediately as if it weren't stitched properly. Would have been nice to get that £60 back, probably wore it less than 20 times in total and still have it (been well over a year now, but bought a different jacket about a month later thinking i wouldn't be able to get a refund) =(
As a general rule, Next will issue a gift voucher on 'most' items that are returned. Obviously this wouldn't apply if the label had been damaged (due to coming from catalogue returns for example). If you have the receipt, you would receive the amount you paid via the method you paid (cash, credit).
If you don't have the receipt, generally they will give you the last price it comes up as on the till, but if the sales assistant says it is a reduced price and the label does not have a red dot on, I would query it as it was probably bought at a higher price.
Next are one of the best retailers for taking things back, as an ex-employee we were told that we were not to query any customer and just to process the refund. Obviously, if we thought there was something a little 'fishy' going on, it would be referred to a supervisor.
Hope all that made sense and it helps someone out.0
