Poole / Bournemouth OR

Anyone had any experience of going BR in the Bournemouth / Poole area? I don't suppose Richard Carr (a major local property developer and night club owner) is on here? He went BR with £millions of debt late last year!!

You have too be joking!!! We went br in bournemouth last year and are dealing with the Bournemouth or - they been friendly and totally reasonable and made it all go through really smoothly (so far)! I suspect our friend Richard was seen up in the London Courts far too important for Bournemouth.

MercMan certainly will be sharing the same venue as Mr Carr, he was 670 of 2008 at Bournemouth C.C., although MercMan will probably be paying more than him, as his bankruptcy petition was brought forward by the previous owner of Jimmy's nightclub who Mr Carr still owed nearly half a million pound to!

Hope all goes well with your BR, MercMan... are you living in lovely Sandbanks as well?

Glad to hear Bournemouth are friendly, OH will be there in next couple of weeks so that will please him to know they're reasonable people. Unfortunately we don't live in sandbanks, just visit for beach and fireworks

Really glad to hear that they are friendly. No I don't live in Sandbanks! I live in Hamworthy famed for its Royal Marine base and congestion causing lifting bridge!! My hearing is at Poole CC.

    Thanks everyone :money:

Thats odd MercMan I was told that Poole Court didn't handle br's? Otherwise I would have used them! Maybe they don't do personal br's?

Yes my OH was told the same, maybe because he's a self employed small business owner it's more complicated.

Your right! I didn't read it carefully enough (Doh); its Bournemouth CC I'm going to. Just as well that was mentioned otherwise I'd be sitting in Poole CC all day!
Sorry my mind is all over the place lately. So what's it like at Bournemouth CC? Is the judge OK or is he / she a hang' em flog 'em type?

Bournemouth CC is great and free parking which is handy as you are spending enough money that day. The BR Clerk is lovely the area you wait in aint great but i did not see the judge so hopefully you will have a day just like me it went fine and they were great in there.

I had Judge Dancy but like i say he did not want to see any of us. But get there early as although its a drop in they sometimes have to limit how many they do in a day i got there at 8 and the security guard was great and said i was wise to get there early.

There can be a bit of sitting about as they dont normally take the BR's to the judge until 11am but the BR clerk will say to pop off and come back at 11am. I popped round the corner to tesco for a breakfast and a coffee and very nice it was too.

    Good Luck.

I love Hamworthy by the way and in fact i will be there tomorrow night at the Lake Yard Club to see some friends.

Thanks K2nga. I'll use Tescos too. I live near Cobbs Quay Marina.
