Anyone know what their current standard variable rate is for residential ?
Can't find it anywhere on the customer or intermediary website.
Tried ringing them earlier, but could not get through.
I thought it was about 4.8%, but i could be wrong .
I have a client coming off a fixed rate, and i need to tell them what it will revert to.
I'll get in the phone queue again in the morning if no one knows
thanks in advance.

I have a mortgage with Mortgage Express (originally GMAC) and my current fixed rate is coming to an end in July 2009, and I know I will go onto the SVR, currently 4.84%.
However, when I spoke to ME they told me to ring back in April and I might be offered a new fixed rate, currently 4.2%.
Has anyone actually been offered this?? If so, is there certian criteria, or are they offering this to all their existing customers coming off fixed rates?
The impression I was getting was that they would not be offering any competive deals??
Thanks0 -
have they changed their svr for feb since the drop to 1% base rate?
The 4.29% rate is for existing custs only. Seems a great rate to me, we will move over to it. no fees involved....As Sceptic Peg predicts, House prices this week will be going up!.............................or down.0 -
They haven't changed the svr yet, I spoke to someone on Friday and they said they were 'considering' it and it would be announced within 30 days.0
