Really Cheap Butter!! *Hopefully*

Did a quickie post for the butter on Grabbit board too.
I know there was another thread about this sort of thing, and I DID search, but couldn't find it anywhere

While doing an online shop at Asda this afternoon I ran across these wonderful "bargains". Just to check it out, I did put 2 fab. cond. in my basket and it charged me the £5!! The butter went in at the 47p so I got a ton of it and will freeze it. Even at the 2 for £1.50 it is still cheaper than the 'value' stuff.

I know often online 'bargains' aren't found in store and the other way round, but hopefully this is "instore"" too!0 -
oooh i hadn't thought of that... thanks

What I do is get cream when it's marked down in the shops and make my own butter and then stick it in the freezer. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0

Just got my email confirmation for the order and I just had to double check to see that it was still 47p . . . . and it was! :j0

I've been buying the butter for 47p in my local asda for the last week or so - never much on the shelf but I have 10 pack I think.
Also the 2% fat milk for 97p for 2l.0 -
I bought 10 lots of butter last week, and froze them all. I also bought bread at 47p a loaf, and 4 pintas at 93p. All now frozen.I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Oooooh yay for the butter in-store!!!

At the moment i'm paying £1.29 per pack from the farmshop. I wasn't really willing to buy it anywhere else as i'm supporting local farmers (they make the butter locally)...
but TBH at 47p per pack i'm willing to abandon my moral stance for a while *looks furtively left, then right, to make sure no-one's looking* :rotfl:0 -
