Furniture Village - Whats a fair price?

Hi,

I've just bought a house and need some furniture to go in it.
I've seen a nice sofa I want - http://www.furniturevillage.co.uk/sofasandchairs/valerio

And although I'm not overly keen on this bed, it's about the best I can find for what I want. I also thought that by getting the furniture from the same place I would be able to get a better deal -

Want to get the bed, two bedside tables and a set of draws which comes to
£1596

The sofa £1295
So £2981 in total

Had a chat with the bloke he spoke to his manager etc and reckon they can only knock £200 off that price. I said this is too much and was looking at least £2500 but they won't seem to budge.
I know these are sale prices but still for the amount I'm spending there does this seem a bit unreasonable?

Oh im getting it on finance which didn't help too much I guess. Can I have your thoughts please?
I basically left it saying well it's more than I was looking to spend and I'll have a think about it.

The shop was completley dead would have thought they could offer something a bit better?

Have a look here. It might be worth giving them a call. I recently bought a sideboard from them which was £60 cheaper than BHS. It was exactly the same and advertised in the BHS as being in the sale with £200 off. Also if you order online they are on the cashback sites too.

Are the products exclusive to Furniture Village?

Find the product name and google it, you might find it cheaper elsewhere. It's what I did with my new sofa.

    Hi,

    Thanks.
Shanta I had a quick look at that site and looks very reasonable, so cheers I'll check it out a bit more later.
Dave, I've tried finding out who the manafacturer of the sofa and good old google but cannot seem to find anything. I'll take another look though.

    Cheers!
