Link Financial at it again....
Hello everyone. Any tips and advice on the following will be appreciated. I recieved a letter this week from a company called Link Financial. The letter claims they have tried to get through to me many times without success, the letter states they have checked land registry and learnt that I have beneficial interest in a house, they have stated if I don't pay up they will enforce a county court judgement by way of a final charging order on my house. The letter "claims" I owe them several thousand pounds. I have no knowledge of any money I owe. I have never taken out finance for several years. The last time I took out finance was perhaps 8 or so years ago, much of what I paid off, the remainder was I believe paid off by insurance due to sudden unempolyment at that time. I have learnt from other posts that even if I did have a debt, the fact it is a debt over 6 years old it is classed as "Statute Barred" hence Link Financial cannot sue me for it. My concern is that Link Financial may take me to court regardless, what are my options?, and what should I do?. All advice will be appreciated.
